Syntegrity Consulting Pvt. Ltd. worked as the Lead Design and Detail Engineering Consultant (DDC) by CSIR-NEERI for two cutting-edge Phytorid based Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Systems AT Niwari , Uttar Pradesh with capacities of 780 KLD and 500 KLD, respectively. Both projects are based on Phytorid Technology, a nature-based solution that mimics the purification function of natural wetlands.

Phytorid is a subsurface mixed flow constructed wetland system, developed and internationally patented by CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur with the successful demonstration in the field for more than 10 years of continuous operation as a stand-alone sewage treatment system.

Designed to operate in series or parallel modules, the Phytorid system has three zones: an inlet zone, a treatment zone, and an outlet zone, ensuring seamless filtration without surface exposure or mosquito breeding. It offers 70–84% BOD reduction, 70–75% nitrogen removal, and up to 97% reduction in fecal coliform, producing effluent safe for irrigation, landscaping, fountains, and municipal gardens.
