Traffic Simulation for MMI Plans – 5 Metro Stations For Mumbai Metro Line 2B
Syntegrity Consulting carried out detailed traffic simulation studies for five metro stations as part of the Multimodal Integration (MMI) initiative. Each station was analyzed within a 250-meter buffer zone, covering both vehicular and pedestrian networks.
Using PTV VISSIM, our team developed microscopic simulation models to evaluate existing traffic conditions, identify bottlenecks, and assess pedestrian-vehicle interactions. Node-level results—including delays, queue lengths, and level of service—were extracted for each station.
Based on the analysis, we proposed station-specific recommendations such as signal optimization, dedicated pickup/drop zones, and improved pedestrian infrastructure to enhance traffic flow and safety.
