FEASIBILITY STUDY / DPR FOR SION GTB NAGAR ROB

As part of Mumbai’s infrastructure upgrade initiative, two critical Rail Over Bridges (ROBs) were proposed over the Harbour Railway Line to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity, and ensure pedestrian safety in densely populated areas of F/N Ward:

GTB Nagar ROB
- Alignment: From Hajara Hotel at GTB Nagar along JK Bhasin Marg to Road No. 32, Sion (East), near GTB Station.
Sion Koliwada ROB
- Alignment: From Shivaji Maharaj Chowk at Sardar Nagar 1, Sion Koliwada to Croma Store at Road No. 29, near Sion Pumping Station.

FEASIBILITY STUDY / DPR FOR SION GTB NAGAR ROB

Preparation of Detailed Utility Plans

Including identification, mapping, and integration of existing underground and overground utilities into the bridge planning process.

Preliminary and Conceptual Design Development

Ensuring alignment with site constraints, traffic flow, and safety norms.

Preparation of Detailed Estimates & Bid Documentation

Including Bill of Quantities, cost estimates, tender schedules, and technical specifications for project execution.

Bid Process Management

Supporting the client in technical evaluations and vendor finalization.

Finalization of GAD (General Arrangement Drawing)

Followed by preparation of comprehensive detailed design and construction drawings, incorporating all structural, geometric, and service elements.

These ROBs are critical enablers for decongesting traffic in central Mumbai and are planned to be executed with minimal disruption to rail and road operations.
