Traction Sub-station Design for High-Speed Railway Corridors – North Central Railway
As part of Indian Railways’ initiative to upgrade existing corridors for semi-high-speed operations (160–200 kmph), new traction infrastructure was planned along the New Delhi–Howrah and New Delhi–Mumbai routes. This included the installation of 220/2×25 kV and 132/2×25 kV Traction Sub-stations (TSS), Switching Posts (SP), and Sub-Sectioning Posts (SSPs) between Ghaziabad–Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Mathura–Palwal.
Syntegrity Consulting was entrusted with the detailed architectural and structural design of all TSS, SP, and SSP buildings along both corridors. Our services included:
- Preparation of comprehensive structural design drawings for substation buildings, control rooms, switchgear rooms, and auxiliary structures.
- Development of site-specific foundation designs considering soil conditions and seismic zoning.
- Coordination with electrical and E&M teams to ensure service integration within structural frameworks.
- Compliance with RDSO, IS codes, and Railway design standards for safety, durability, and ease of maintenance.
The designs delivered by Syntegrity have enabled rapid and standardized deployment of electrification infrastructure, directly contributing to the operational readiness of high-speed rail upgrades.
Syntegrity Consulting provided structural, architectural and MEPF design and construction support for traction substation, switching post and sub-sectioning post buildings on the Ghaziabad–Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Mathura–Palwal sections, for East Central Railway (ECR).
